Relapsed High-Risk Myeloma - I've Made It Two Years From Diagnosis - May 24 2013

I was officially diagnosed with high-risk myeloma (4:14, deletion of 13, and 1q21 changes) on 24 May 2011. My first bone marrow biopsy report said at least twice that I could expect a "poor outcome".

My adventure with myeloma as been CONSTANT since my diagnosis in 2011. I don't think I have gone a single week in 2 years without some kind of test or treatment or both! I have had 2 failed autologous stem cell transplants and PLENTY of chemotherapy!

I have gained 40 pounds since diagnosis from dex.

But, most importantly, I have had the BEST CAREGIVER ever known to the myeloma world, my younger sister, Jani. I LOVE YOU MORE!

YOU PROVE THEM WRONG YOU GO ANOTHER 20 YEARS AND I WILL RESPOND TO YOU BLOG, AND YOU LOVE JANI I LOVE HER ALSO FOR BEING THERE FOR YOU YOU ARE TO IMPORTANT TO LEAVE JUST YET THERE IS MORE FOR YOU TO DO. I also have gained 40lbs from my dex or pomalyst which ever cause that,they had taken my stem cells but never had stem cell trans Dr aT MT SINAI thought i was to weak for it. Joe
