With the expert solar advice of one of my multiple myeloma friends, Danny P., Jani cleared the snow off their solar panels with a stream of water today (only recommended if you can assure the panels with dry out before the sun goes down). Here is a picture of the solar panels when they are dry. They have a 6.9 kW array.
The recent snowstorm piled more than a foot of snow on the solar panels.
The stream of water really worked well.
Almost immediately, the solar panels started generating electricity despite the partly cloudy skies.
